With over 18 years of experience in family medicine, I have been providing high quality care to the NHS as well as to my private patients and standing as a point of reference for the Italian community in London.
I have a wealth of experience with patients of all age groups and a particular interest in adult medicine, health screening, cardiovascular prevention, child and women’s health and wellbeing.
My patient care heavily relies on the latest evidence-based medical guidelines and offers the most up-to-date treatments.
By establishing a collaborative partnership, I provide highly personalized and state of the art care that allows my patients to effectively manage their health and well-being.
I am fully registered with the GMC (General Medical Council) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
Background
I trained at the University of Perugia in Italy where I obtained a Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgerywith distinction in 1999 and fully qualified as a General Practitioner in 2002.
The multi-ethnic London atmosphere motivated my decision to relocate to the UK to enjoy an experience as a GP in East London. It was during that time that my special interest in Cardiology and Internal Medicine developed, leading me to acquire further experience in these specialities.
I gained additional hospital training in Bristol in Accident and Emergency, Respiratory Medicine and Gastroenterology, and in London as a Specialty Registrar in Cardiology.
Since 2008 I have been practicing as a General Practitioner in central London, fully enjoying some of the roles that general practice has to offer in a consolidated pattern of sessions in both the in- and out-of-hours settings.
I have been urgent care provider at St. Mary’s Hospital Urgent Care Centre since its early days and I covered the role of GP Lead for my colleagues at the UCC, with both Clinical Governance and performance monitoring commitments.
I pursued enthusiastic involvement in research activities since medical school and alongside my hospital and GP placements. From 2009 until 2012, I worked at the International Centre for Circulatory Health, St. Mary’s Hospital, London, as a Specialty Doctor in Cardiovascular Medicine, Diabetes and Clinical Research and I led on recruitment programs across North and West London for major international trials such as the “polypill” for cardiovascular prevention.
In 2012 I obtained a Master Degree in Cardiology at the University of Brighton, to advance my clinical clinical knowledge of Cardiology and management of Cardiovascular Disease.
